Mixing substate
Aloha,
Setting up a new 75, I've watched your vids, super helpful and informative!
Thoughts on mixing box store aquarium gravel and substrate for a planted tank? Do? Don't?
Probably looking at more hardscape w "some" plants, haha.
Mahalos!

I want to just confirm you are still currently selling your product. I used to be a consistent buyer on eBay and just want to confirm you will still ship from your online store.
Got it!!!
No that's totally fine I can buy the fertilizers on here and do business this way no big deal.
Thanks for the update and have safe journeys back home
New tank
What would you recommend for a tank that just cycled and has a lot of new plants and fish?
Yeah! 1ppm of ammonia or nitrites is totally fine for plants. Believe it or not, plants perfer ammonia and nitrites over nitrates. Its a simpler compound for them to absorb as a macro nutrient. If you ammonia does sit at zero for too long, it can cause issues with your nitrifying bacteria, but a week isn't going to be a huge issues. If you are really worried about it, you can get some Dr Tims Ammonium Chloride and dose a little to keep the bacteria fed. I think it might be a little overkill for you, but wanted to at least suggest it if you were worried about it - https://amzn.to/3LVFTRk
Hiya. I love this look and design for an aquascape. I’ve got a 3’ sumped display tank I’m about to set up & I don’t have enough aquasoil to fill the tank for the scape I’m looking to do…. Higher at the rear of the tank etc. what do u recommend is the best way to separate the areas of inert substrate as opposed to the aquasoiled areas like in the photo above. How have u put the aquasoil ontop of this hardscape without it falling and causing the substrates to mix….?
