Figure I'll do a fun hot take here

So I know about the use of carbon in filters for planted tanks. Has anyone got input, thoughts, ideas or experience using the chemi pure green? Supposedly designed carbon for planted tanks that won't pull nutrients out of the water....aaannnd... GO!

Man, this stuff just looks like snake oil to me. It's basically fancy carbon. The weird thing is higher quality carbons are known to remove iron and copper, but not macros. But then they are saying the product is a fancy carbon, but not fancy enough that it doesn't pull out the metals. It just seems like another product companies are hoping you run all the time so they can drain your wallet. My suggestion is if you want/need to run carbon, just got to BRS and buy some in bulk. Get your own little mess baggie and make your own ;) It is more sustainable and would probably cost less in the long run, AND be a better quality carbon if you get BRS's fancy carbon. I've ran this stuff on my reef tank and it works great!
